Bijou Market

We had much, much fun at the Bijou Market this last weekend! It was a great location I thought. (I just know Charity will love that she is in one of the photos!! ;) Charity and I were busily sewing a couple days before the market, and we really did an amazing job at getting some product whipped out! Janica even drove all the way down from Green River to be part of the fun!!..Our favorite pillow...the Chiang Mai, of course! Thanks so much to all who supported modernthread this time!! It was great, we will definitely be participating again!

Dottie Angel

Never have I seen something crocheted that I wanted more!! This gal is amazing! Visit her blog here!

Vintage Pair

I have had a thing lately with finding vintage chairs....just what I need...more chairs!!! Anyway, I just couldn't pass these ones up! I thought they would be normal sized chairs, but they are more like a child's chair, which made them even more appealing to me! The spindle backs, and the turning on the legs really gives them some character.

HERE COMES THE FLOWERS

Here comes the wedding season!! Here is a bridal bouquet I did the other day.
I have decided after making this bouquet that I have "had better" when it comes to working with certain flowers. These Lilly's were just being difficult! I guess at least this time I learned my lesson. That lesson being that I have to buy Lilly's at least 3 days ahead of time so that they can actually blossom! The last time I used them, they all blossomed the day after the wedding! Oops.

Chiang Mai Love

Lovin the new colorway. Fire hot baby...(I sound like Randy Jackson). Okay, so does everyone know about the television program "Sarah's House"? I was kind of getting bored of HGTV, then just in the last few weeks have started Tivo-ing this series. Love it! I really like her sidekick Tommy, they are funny together.

...HERE FISHY, FISHY

Last night I helped my sister make Bennett little birthday announcements. We had no plans or ideas, and just started from scratch, and came up with this. (It was Janica's idea to add the coral.) which I just love! My printer was being super stupid though, and putting stripes through everything (even after cleaning the nozzle heads!). Dang Epson. Seriously I just bought like a brand new pack of ink, which is basically like buying half a printer, and now it is doing all sorts of funky things!

PURA BABY BOTTLES

I really like this line of bottles and sippy cups. The nipples are interchangeable with several different brands, and the bottle has a lifetime warranty. It is BPA free, and you don't have to worry about it breaking like glass. ....and the colors! There is a blue one too! Check them out here!
I also bought the boon wheat grass drying rack, and have been very happy with it! It is very springy and I love green, and Ella's pink bottle on top of it looks like a flower blossoming out of the grass. The colors are just bright and fun! I found it for a really good price here!

MODERN BABY GIFT PACKAGING

A gift me and my sis worked on for a baby boy. I found the box at Xpedx on clearance and wrapped a custom made label around it, then we tied it all up with a cute little pair of shoes that my sister found!

MY LITTLE BRASS FRIENDS...

...So back in the day I used to be a serious thrift store junkie! I have mountains of milkglass, way too many chairs, and a table top of lidded glass jars....I have since calmed down a bit, but this one I have to say I just couldn't pass up!

THREADS OF COLOR

I think this jewelry by spinthread is just awh inspiring! Serioulsy, it is so awesome! Geometrics, string, and funky colors...what more can you ask for? She is a featured seller on Etsy right now.

SERIOUSLY CUTE

Ridiculous...I love these clothes! I can't get enough of Jcrew's line for little girls! They are so inspiring! I just get lost in their website every time I look...which is why I shouldn't look very often!

Color me crazy

Lately I have been going crazy over different color combos....! I am loving mint green paired with mustard, and red orange! I am trying to think of new interesting color combos for my new line of bibs for the spring 2010 shows! Not only bibs, but pillows too! For all you fabric lovers...don't you just love LOVE Robert Kaufmans' kona cotton solids! I buy those mostly because they are locally available, but there is also PB textiles available at Purl. Oh the possibilities!

Heirloom Blessing Dress

A dress made by my grandmother 27 years ago, for me to wear on my blessing day. It has now been passed down to my ownership, and Ella was able to wear it for her blessing day! It was very special to see her in this same dress that I wore!

Birth Announcement

...a little thread and a little chipboard. Two things I just love to work with!

THE BEEHIVE BAZAAR!!

Beehive Bazaar Going on now thru saturday till 8 o'clock!
Alright, so I had heard that this show was pretty crowded...but I didn't realize that it would be completely out of control --jam packed, full of people to the point where it was difficult just to walk around!! Oh my goodness it was crazy, but it was pretty fun anyway. The line was pretty insane as well. I think that is why stuff would just get randomly put back in the wrong spot. I had a bunch of other stuff set on my display that wasn't mine...and I would also see some of my stuff just set down on other people's displays...it was like, "Hello, this isn't a store...you can't just set something down where ever you want!" Then my mom was sure these two ladies were shoplifting, because they were putting things in their pockets and purse??! Yeah, I don't think that is a normal thing to do if you plan on paying for something?! Anyway it was like, well what do you do when you see that? If you confront them they would just deny it and say they were planning on buying it. So I hope they get what is coming to them if they were stealing. Shame on shoplifters--especially at a handmade market!! Security at these kinds of events are reliant on people being honest. So it made me kind of nervous that maybe people were just walking out with stuff, and not paying for it.

FOR THE SHOW...

Some stuff I was getting ready to take to the show this last weekend. Now I am feeling rushed to get more stuff made for the Beehive Bazaar that I am doing in December!! Fun, fun!
